Semantics.

I am a wife, he is a husband.

On the surface nothing has changed. We don’t love each other any differently, except now, I don’t have to explain that he is so much more than my boyfriend, that I call them my stepkids even if I’m not actually tied to them…we are all tied together now.

It is like a big ringing bell of legitimacy.

We are facing some big life changes in the next couple months here. Tests that many married couples never have to pass.

We would have handled the challenged the same, married or not, but oh, does it feel nice to face it with my husband by my side this time.
